its kinda sad when u heard stories of chinese friends not inviting their malay friends for wedding dinners because we malays tend to give $10 ang pow. pfft~

i mean seriously it kept me thinking, u mean wat? getting married means gaining profits from friends and relatives ang pow? isnt gettinng married and helding dinner receptions is to share joys and laughter and to celebrate with ur loves ones and not dwell so much on how much returns ur getting back.

I mean yala who doesnt want big returns after u spend so much on hotels receptions.And i knoe one table could cost sooo much now days. But who ask u to held grand events when u cant even afford it and worry so much that till the extend u choose only those whom u conferm will definetely give at least hundrens dollar ang pow.

And then u say "malay do wedding only at void deck mah" void deck wedding can cost up to 20k for everyones info kays.. it is still not cheap.. Malay tend to held weddings at void decks because its sometimes our parents wishes, traditions and we tend to invite up to 2000 of our whole extended families and friends whom we want to share and celebrate with. and $100 ang pow $10 ang pow or $2 or no ang pow at all. We dont really mind as long the wedding is filled with love ones.

We are all brought up diffrently with diff cultures... As for me, my parents always advice me to give wat i could afford and never regret after that and "syukur pastu terima dengan iklas" means it doesnt matter wat u get, accept and be gratefull...But not all will give $10 riteeee of coz hotel weddings we will give me more laaa maybe that person give $10 because he got no money...haiya~
